Carolyn Pitt is a Personal Travel Manager. When she started her business it was small and an excel spreadsheet worked well for her as she wasn’t registered for GST. But it wasn’t long before her accountant advised her to register for GST and to look for an accounting software to help her manage her growing business. The idea of submitting regular BAS statements was daunting. She new that continuing to run off excel spreadsheets was very manual and not the most efficient use of her time.
It was at this point that Carolyn engaged Neha and the team at Sum and Substance Bookkeeping and Accounting Service. Neha recommended Xero as a suitable software. Carolyn said ‘ I like to have control of the admin side of my business, and as Sum & Substance bookkeeping offers several different packages to suit the business owner, I engaged Neha to train me to use Xero so I can do all the inputting of information. She also helped set it up so that my business credit cards and bank account is all linked’.
So how did it work out for Carolyn? She says ‘Now it is necessary for Personal Travel Managers to be registered for GST and together with using Xero, it makes life doing my BAS each quarter much easier. I am very grateful to Neha for the way she trained me, the notes she provided and the ongoing support I have access to from Sum & Substance. And of course with Neha, all support is always given with a smile – she is a delight to work with!’
It was such a pleasure helping Carolyn as her business grows and we look forward to helping her in the future.
